- We completed our community event in Penang on 11th March 2023. We couldn’t have done this without the support of our corporate partner Duopharma and Gulab Mahatam Rai, at Hotel NEO+ Penang by ASTON. All this was also not possible without our prominent speakers and our attendees. More information on this event is available here. If you like to be part of our events or give a talk at such events, we organise throughout the year – do let us know by writing a brief overview on you with your interest to: info@healthyageing.org.
- We are actively progressing with our collaboration with Penang State Government and Penang Women’s Development Corporation (PWDC) on our Age-Friendly City initiative to make Penang Island an Age-Friendly City by 2025. We collaborated with PWDC, who hosted a stakeholder engagement on 9 and 10th Jan 2022. Whereby in Feb 2022, we launched a baseline study survey for all Penangites – hence, if you are someone who lives or works in Penang, please take the following survey:
We (the Malaysian Healthy Ageing Society and Penang Women’s Development Corporation [PWDC]) call on all Penangites to participate in a state government plan to make Penang an Age-Friendly City. This refers to Penang’s initiative to be an Age-Friendly City for all young, older, and people with disabilities to access outdoor spaces, transportation, housing, social activities, communication, information, community support, and health services.
Your feedback matters and will help align the government initiatives driven by community voices (i.e. your voice/opinion/say).
Help us by clicking on the following link to access the survey – it will take approximately 20 to 30 minutes – depending on your internet speed. Upon completion, please hit the submit button and help us disseminate the survey (with the above msg) to all who work and reside in Penang Island.
